Fiberglass and PVC pile

FIBERGLASS SHEET PILES

Fiberglass sheet piles have the same positive characteristics as PVC piles. With all their advantages, their load-carrying capacity outperforms the metal analogues, offering a lower price.

USAGE AND PROPERTIES

Sheet piles are used for construction which is enclosing structures where there is a need to prevent the appearance of water and soil shear.

Composite piles are resistant to sudden temperature changes and corrosion. They do not need painting for protection, they can be used in all weather conditions. They save the aesthetics of appearance and their color throughout the operational period. Metal piles are several times heavier, compared to composite piles, and it should be mentioned that composite piles are very easy to transport and to process. They are not dangerous to the environment and are not poisonous at all.

INSTALLATION

Working with metal, you cannot do without specialized equipment (such as a crane and excavator), a lot of workers, and the most important thing — time. Due to the small mass of the composite, you can accelerate the performance of the work several times and use the standard vibratory pile drivers and jackhammers.

EXPLOITATION

Metal can lose its original appearance because it is exposed to the weather and aggressive environment. It is necessary to perform permanent anti-corrosion treatment and constantly monitor its technical condition. Composite is able to maintain its attractiveness and color throughout the entire exploitation period. It is not necessary to monitor its technical condition constantly.

ENVIRONMENTAL SAFETY

Microorganisms can multiply in a metallic medium. The composite is not dangerous to the surrounding nature.

PVC SHEET PILES

PVC sheet pile is a building material used for constructing hydrotechnical sheet piling structures. It consists of two main elements: a sheet pile and a locking element — and has a different section thickness (4, 6 and 10 mm). When constructing structures from sheet piles, a solid wall is obtained, in which piles fit tightly to each other.

ADVANTAGES OF USING SHEET PILES FOR CONSTRUCTION

  • Reduction of building time;
  • Easy to assembly and install;
  • Increased safety after the construction of sheet piles;
  • Reduction of the ground works, as there is no need to remove excess soil;
  • The ability to reuse sheet piles, as they are easily extracted from the ground.

MAIN CHARACTERISTICS OF PVC SHEET PILES

  • Durability;
  • Endurance;
  • Resistance to external mechanical influences (during ice drift, flood of rivers);
  • High anti-corrosion criteria;
  • Stability under adverse natural phenomena;
  • Universality in use, during transportation, storage, assembly, installation;
  • Small weight.
